The Ancor 111002 is a heavy-duty, marine-grade 8 AWG (8 mm²) primary wire supplied on a 25-foot (7.6-meter) spool. Featuring a black outer jacket, it is standardly used for DC negative grounding returns, main battery connections, and medium-to-high current DC branch circuit power distribution on marine vessels.
Manufactured with individual strands of fully tinned, fine-gauge copper, this wire provides maximum protection against internal conductor corrosion ("green rot") caused by salt moisture intrusion. Encased in Ancor’s proprietary premium vinyl insulation, it remains exceptionally flexible even in freezing conditions while resisting engine oil, gasoline, battery acid, salt water, abrasion, and intense UV exposure.
