The Belden 8471 (SKU: BE8471-1000-060) is an industry-standard, high-durability 1-pair (2-conductor) 16 AWG tinned copper twisted-pair cable designed for marine instrumentation, low-voltage power distribution, audio speaker runs, and RS-485/industrial bus control signals.
Featuring stranded tinned copper conductors (19 * 29 stranding), the Belden 8471 offers exceptional resistance to tarnish, salt-air corrosion, and wire fatigue caused by continuous vessel engine vibration. The conductors are insulated with High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) in a black/white color code and enclosed in a flexible, oil- and UV-resistant Chrome PVC outer jacket. Its unshielded design minimizes line capacitance for long low-voltage AC/DC power and audio signal runs throughout dry and damp interior vessel conduits.
