The BEP 80-707-0005-00 is a heavy-duty, 100% solid-state 24V DC marine surge protection module engineered to safeguard sensitive onboard navigation electronics, CZone digital switching nodes, and communication gear from damaging voltage spikes. Designed for installation downstream of main battery disconnect switches and cable runs, it suppresses high-voltage transient pulses caused by motor inductive kickbacks, thruster switching, and severe load dumps (e.g., accidental alternator disconnects under heavy charge).

Operating continuously on 24V systems, the module clamps high-energy spikes down to a safe threshold. It incorporates an integrated Auxiliary Fault Signal Output that latches ON when a major high-energy overvoltage event occurs. This output can power a panel LED or external alarm relay to notify crew members of power supply anomalies, resetting automatically once power to the module is cycled.
