BEP CZone NMEA 2000 Network Bridge Interface (80-911-0057-00)

The BEP CZone 80-911-0057-00 (also designated as Network Bridge Interface / NBI) is a specialized CAN-bus isolation and expansion module designed to scale NMEA 2000 digital switching networks. It allows system integrators to bridge two separate CAN-bus networks—such as linking a primary CZone backbone to a Simrad SimNet or vessel-wide NMEA 2000 network—without sharing power buses or exceeding physical network limits.

The module provides galvanic isolation between network segments, enabling selective power-down of sub-networks to reduce standby current draw when systems are idle. When an NMEA 2000 network reaches the standard 50-node device limit, installing the 80-911-0057-00 allows the addition of up to 40 additional network nodes while maintaining overall CAN-bus data integrity and communication speed.

• For isolating sections of an NMEA 2000 network to decrease standby current draw
• Isolation when bridging between two CAN networks, (eg connecting CZone to Simrad Simnet)
• For expansion of the NMEA 2000 network when the maximum node limit (node = any device connected to the NMEA 2000 network) for the network has been reache
• Once fitted, a further 40 nodes can be added.
