BEP 450A Heavy-Duty Class T Fuse (Bulk Packaging)

The BEP FT-450-B is an extremely fast-acting, high-interrupting 450 A Class T DC circuit protection fuse designed to safeguard main battery banks, large inverter/chargers, bow thrusters, and high-capacity main distribution panels. Class T fuses are required by ABYC standards for lithium-ion (LiFePO4) battery installations and large lead-acid/AGM banks due to their ability to clear massive, low-impedance short-circuit fault currents safely without exploding or arc-flashing.

Constructed with silver-plated copper contact blades and a ceramic body shell, the FT-450-B provides extremely low internal resistance to minimize voltage drop under heavy continuous load. It combines a 20,000A short-circuit interrupting capacity (AIC) with a slight time-delay profile that accommodates momentary motor or inverter capacitive in-rush spikes while blowing instantaneously during a severe short circuit.
