BEP 500A Heavy-Duty Class T Fuse

The BEP FT-500-B is an extremely fast-acting, high-interrupting 500 A Class T DC circuit protection fuse designed to safeguard primary battery banks, heavy-duty inverter/chargers, high-output bow thrusters, and main distribution panels. As lithium-ion (LiFePO4) installations expand, Class T protection is critical to satisfy ABYC standards, ensuring that massive, low-impedance short-circuit fault currents are cleared cleanly without dangerous electrical arcing or housing rupture.

Constructed with silver-plated copper contacts housed within a ceramic body shell, the FT-500-B delivers extremely low internal resistance to minimize thermal output and voltage drop under full continuous loading. It combines a 20,000A short-circuit interrupting capacity (AIC) with a time-delay profile that accommodates high inductive in-rush currents during motor and inverter startup without nuisance clearing. Note that 500A Class T fuses utilize the larger JJS/JJN Class T physical casing footprint, requiring compatible large-block fuse holders.
