The BEP IP160 is a heavy-duty, 160 Amp ignition-protected ANL limiter fuse designed for primary DC circuit protection on marine power trunks, main battery feeds, anchor windlass circuits, bow thruster controls, and inverter/charger DC inputs. Engineered specifically for harsh marine and automotive environments, it features tin-plated copper fork/blade contacts to resist oxidation, contact degradation, and resistive heating under sustained heavy current loads.

As an IP-certified and ignition-protected device, the IP160 meets strict safety standards (SAE J1171 / ISO 8846) for installation in engine rooms and gasoline fuel vapor spaces. Its time-delay tripping characteristic allows temporary, harmless in-rush current surges—such as electric motor startups—to pass without nuisance blowing, while opening rapidly under continuous overload or severe short-circuit conditions.
