The Sertec CMCE 0000028 (model designation CMCE Platinum) is a heavy-duty electro-atmospheric charge de-coupler / lightning suppression system. Engineered for high-risk and wide-area applications, the Platinum model creates a 110 m (360 ft) diameter protection zone (a 55 m radius) to safeguard superyachts, commercial shipping vessels, industrial processing plants, telecom hubs, and sports stadiums against direct lightning strikes.

Operating as a passive charge-balancing system, the CMCE Platinum continuously drains atmospheric electric charges to prevent the formation of the upward electrical leader (streamer). By preventing the ionization channel from completing, it eliminates the possibility of a direct lightning strike within its coverage zone without drawing dangerous high-energy currents into the vessel or structure.
