Designed to replace traditional mechanical foot switches that are prone to mechanical failure and water intrusion, the DSDSS1 utilizes solid-state digital switching to deliver maintenance-free operation in harsh marine deck environments.

The switch features a dual-function dynamic activation profile requiring a firm, intentional press to activate, preventing accidental operation from stray sheets, halyards, or crew foot traffic. Sealed inside an impact-resistant, UV-stabilized housing with an IP67 waterproof rating, the DSDSS1 sends a low-voltage digital control signal directly to a Harken Digital System Controller or relay box, protecting the switch mechanism from high DC amperage arcs and thermal degradation.
