The Novaris CU-MF-90-3 is a heavy-duty coaxial RF surge protector designed to protect sensitive radio communications gear, cellular receivers, AIS transponders, and marine VHF/UHF radio systems from transient overvoltages caused by direct/indirect lightning strikes and electrostatic discharge (ESD). Featuring a high-capacitance Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) rated for 20 kA (8/20μs) maximum discharge current, it clamps dangerous transients before they reach delicate receiver front-ends.

Terminated with a UHF Male (PL-259) connector on one port and a UHF Female (SO-239) connector on the other, the CU-MF-90-3 allows direct inline installation between antenna feedlines and transceiver panels. Its wideband operation ({DC to 3.0 GHz) and low insertion loss ensure excellent signal throughput and minimal VSWR degradation across standard marine VHF (156-162 MHz), UHF, and 2.4 GHz ISM communications bands.
