Spectra Watermakers SC-2 Alkaline Cleaning Compound

The Spectra Watermakers KIT-CHEM-SC2 (Catalog SKU SC-2) is a specialized alkaline membrane cleaning compound formulated to remove organic fouling, biological growth, grease, oil residue, and slime from reverse osmosis (RO) desalination membranes. It is engineered specifically to restore flow rates and operating efficiency in Spectra systems (such as Ventura, Cape Horn, Newport, and Catalina series) when freshwater flushing alone cannot recover lost product water output.

SC-2 is applied as a recirculating chemical wash mixed with unchlorinated product water. Its alkaline pH breaks down organic biofilms and hydrocarbon contaminants that blind composite thin-film (TFC) membrane pores without damaging internal high-pressure pumps or Clark Pump energy recovery devices.
