The TBS Electronics 5074510 (DCM-RBS-12-500) is a high-power, bistable Remote Battery Switch (RBS) engineered for automated or remote switching of heavy-duty 12 V DC loads and battery banks. Capable of handling 500 A continuous current and peak cranking surges up to 1,500 A, it allows high-current battery cables to remain close to the power source while enabling low-current switching from remote helm controls, battery management systems (BMS), or automatic voltage sensors.

Utilizing a magnetically latching (bistable) internal mechanism, the DCM-RBS draws zero current in both the ON and OFF states, eliminating battery drain when resting. It features an integrated manual override knob on top of the housing for emergency manual connection or physical lockout during vessel maintenance, alongside built-in status feedback lines for remote panel indicator LEDs.
