The TruDesign 90856 is a heavy-duty, glass-reinforced composite Load Bearing Collar (Small) engineered to reinforce assembly joints between TruDesign skin fittings (thru-hulls) and ball valves (seacocks). When installed over a TruDesign skin fitting prior to threading on the ball valve, this structural collar enables the complete underwater plumbing assembly to comply with the rigorous ABYC H-27 standard (500 lbf / 222 daN static force applied to the innermost end of the assembly for 30 seconds).

Molded from high-strength, glass-filled nylon, the collar absorbs side-load impacts—such as shifting bilge cargo, stepped-on plumbing, or heavy equipment movement—and distributes stress away from the threaded stem onto the surrounding hull structure. Designed for small-diameter TruDesign fittings , it provides structural integrity without introducing metal components, galvanic corrosion, or grounding requirements.
